Fresno State ace Tanner Scheppers will not come back for his senior season with the defending College World Series champions.
    Scheppers' plans don't include Fresno State Pitcher Tanner Scheppers, who was drafted in the second round of the major league draft in June but did not sign with a team, will not return to Fresno State for his senior year. Scheppers said Wednesday that he was academically eligible to return but that Fresno State no longer was the "correct fit," as the right-hander turns his focus on rehabbing his shoulder and improving his stock for the next year's draft.
