Fresno's KYNO made huge airwaves
It once was the dominant station in Fresno -- a ratings monster that helped give birth to "Boss Radio," America's most popular music format in the 1960s.
Housed in a nondescript building on Barton Avenue and assigned a modest broadcast signal, KYNO, AM 1300, could've been another faceless AM radio station.
